One day Digital SLR photography course taught by Morag MacDonald
This one day intensive workshop will help you to take control of your Digital SLR camera and use it out of Programme mode! Taught by Morag MacDonald (both highly experienced teachers) notions like aperture and depth of field that are hard to grasp will be Demystified.
This practical day follows a proven track which will allow you to use your camera with confidence and will be backed up by course notes for you to take away.
Learning the basics of SLR photography during this practical day you will be taught to select the correct shutter speed to freeze motion, blur movement, pan with a fast moving object, select the correct aperture to lose distracting background information and to keep vital parts of the image sharp.
Beginning this digital photography workshop in our studio at the Paintworks (on the Bath Rd in Bristol) you will meet the group over coffee and be guided through your cameras functions. We will then move outside to do some exercises to ensure that each person is confident with basic functions (aperture, shutter speed, film speed and depth of field) and how they affect the image.
After a sandwich (which you will bring with you!) we will move to the City Docks, a fabulous place for inspiration. With your tutor on hand to give help when needed you will be encouraged to use your new skills to create a unique series of images using your new skills.
Returning to the studio with just enough time to show some of the days images on our large high resolution screen.
This is a feel good photography course packed with useful tips and advice.
Morag offers a range of evening courses for beginners, as well as those aspiring non-professional photographers wishing to hone their skills.
Small classes ensure a good learning environment. Each course will run with a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 13 delegates.
One Day Digital SLR photography course runs from 9.30 till 4.30 and costs £84 (inclusive of vat).
